Cozy living area: The living area at Base Surf Lodge provided a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a freshly pressed coffee, as if I were in my own little cafe.

Women's shower room maintenance: The only minor inconvenience was the need for topping up hand soap and changing the hand towel more frequently in the women's shower room, as it had an unpleasant smell during my stay.

We stayed at a surf lodge in a convenient location, with bars and Fistral beach just a short walk away. the room was basic but clean, with a comfortable bed. the bathroom was modern and spotless, with powerful hot showers. the staff were friendly and helpful, offering tips even if you weren't taking a surf lesson. the lodge also provided breakfast and had a garden for dining on sunny days. it was a great place to stay for a surf weekend.

Limited cooking facilities were a downside, and parking was off-site and required some searching for a free spot.

The breakfast spread each morning was delicious, with a great variety of pastries, cereals, and juices. the friendly staff were always available to offer helpful tips and recommendations for things to do in the area. We also loved the convenience of being able to hire surfboards and wetsuits at a reduced price, with no time restrictions. The location was perfect - close to the high street and beaches, yet peaceful and relaxing. Cons: Can't fault anything about our stay. 👌.

We had a fantastic stay at Base Surf Lodge! The location was perfect, just a short walk from the beautiful Fistral North beach. The lodge had a great collaboration with Big Green Surf School, making it convenient to rent surf equipment and take lessons. The breakfast included was always fresh and delicious. The beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed the lovely hot showers after a day of surfing. The staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The laid-back atmosphere added to the overall experience. We would definitely recommend Base Surf Lodge for a surf getaway.

The location of the lodge is great, with easy access to the town centre, beaches, and nearby cafes and supermarkets. the hosts are helpful and knowledgeable, offering surf lessons and providing local advice. the property is kept tidy and has a lovely garden space in the back. the breakfast included is a nice perk, and there are facilities for surf equipment hire on-site.

The interior of the lodge is slightly dated and could benefit from refurbishment.

I had an amazing stay at a lovely location with a warm and cute staff at Base Surf Lodge. The place was clean and tidy, making me feel comfortable throughout my stay. Plus, the women's shower room was well-maintained, albeit needing some hand soap and towel changes. The breakfast selection was fantastic, with a variety of pastries, cereals, juices, and jams, ensuring a great start to my day. I also appreciated the free use of the kitchen anytime, really convenient. The owner and staff were helpful, providing me with great tips and recommendations for things to do. I could hire surfboards and wetsuits at a reduced price with no time restrictions, making my surfing experience extra convenient. I highly recommend this place for a great stay in an amazing location with friendly staff and excellent amenities.

The accommodations were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, with close proximity to the surf spots and the town, making it convenient to access everything we needed. We also appreciated the option to hire surf equipment at the lodge, which made it easy for us to enjoy the waves without any hassle.

Although the shared bathroom was modern and cleaned daily, we did notice that the women's shower room was in need of some attention, with the hand soap and hand towel needing replenishment. It was a minor inconvenience, but it would have been nicer if these amenities were well-stocked throughout our stay.

Plus, the surf hire was great value and available all day.

The hosts were amazing! They were friendly, welcoming, and always available for a chat or to give advice. The location of the hotel was great, just a short walk from the town centre and the beach. It was perfect for exploring the area. Another great aspect was the vegan/veggie cafe nearby. It made finding good food very convenient.

The noise at night was quite disruptive. With it being Christmas time, there were a lot of parties happening in the area, which meant loud music and rowdy behavior.

The location of the lodge is perfect, with easy access to the town center and beautiful beaches like Fistral. The hosts are friendly, approachable, and always ready to provide helpful advice and local recommendations. The lodge is clean and well-facilitated, making it a comfortable place to stay. The option to arrange surf lessons on site is convenient and highly recommended for those looking to learn or improve their surfing skills. The lodge also offers a lovely garden space in the back for guests to relax and unwind.

One downside is the accommodation itself, which is described as basic and in need of refurbishment. Some guests have mentioned uncomfortable beds and outdated interior.
